All too often in life we go along doing what we do, and rarely think much of it. We pour our heart and soul into a project that should be really big, and some positive attention only to find it doesn’t. The rule I found in the corporate engineering cubicles was the 10 / 90 rule. That is 90% of what you do goes unnoticed, even though you’re good. Its the 10% that didn’t take much effort, that gets the great reviews!
I enjoy using WordPress in operating the genverters.com site, and have followed Dave Doolin’s writing about it. He really has his PHD in engineering, and goes by the nickname, Dr WordPress. I had the opportunity to speak with him a month ago, and shared a little tip. I mean something easy, one of those 10% effort things. He published the tip and thinks highly of our site. He said :
“Sometimes, you visit a website, and you just know within minutes: this Real Off Grid Living thing could go big. Very big. That’s I how felt when I met the Craw family. Marshall, Jackie, the kids and their animals make their home off-the-grid…”
Anyway, its nice to have a fan, and its our goal to provide the most actionable, useful, and informative content about all aspects of Off Grid living so that you’ll be a fan too!
